Foundations San Diego is a distinctive outpatient center meeting the unique needs of individuals with co-occurring disorders. Serving patients both locally and nationwide, our integrated treatment facility offers evidence-based therapies, a variety of educational sessions, and holistic options. Our experienced team members treat each patient with compassion and develop a plan according to that person’s specific needs.

FRN is currently seeking a Part Time
 Therapist, to oversee all aspects of patient care and therapy at our outpatient facility. The Primary Therapist will have the distinct privilege of working in a setting where they can truly spend quality time with their patients and work closely with the treatment staff. Patient-centered care is not only what we do; it is at the core of who we are.

Job Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conducts individual and group therapy sessions with clients
• Responsible for updating and collaborating with referents
• Participates in weekly staff meetings regarding each client and gives recommendations

Key Responsibilities:
• Able to consistently demonstrate, through conduct and communications, the stability required to effectively assist patients and their family members through the FRN Model of Treatment
• Working knowledge of 12-step, DBT, and MI techniques and programs
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
• Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Understanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues and the ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into the organization
• Exhibits excellent customer relations skills, as evidenced by supportive and constructive communication with all contacts, including co-workers, patients, residents, visitors, families, and referral sources
• Understands need for and maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times when interacting with patients, residents, families, visitors, referral sources, and all other contacts
• A current, valid driver’s license is required for business travel between locations.

Education and Experience
• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field required
• Licensure or licensure eligible required
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in mental health or substance abuse field required
