Schick Shadel Hospital,  is seeking a talented, compassionate, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).  Schick Shadel Hospital, a 60 bed alcohol and substance use disorder hospital located in the outskirts of Seattle, has been providing successful chemical dependency treatment since 1935.  The hospital, which claims the "#1 Success Rate" in treating alcoholism, bases its success on its unique and powerful counter conditioning treatment program.  The hospital provides medication detoxification and an intense, short stay addiction treatment program for alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription opioids and heroin (smoked and snorted).

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists the nursing staff in providing direct patient care through a collaborative effort with physicians, counselors, and LPN and RN health team members in accordance with established nursing standards of care and their scope of practice.

Job Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

     1.   Attends staff report and identifies special needs of assigned patients.

     2.   Assists in patient care as assigned.

     3.   Keeps accurate nursing care records.

     4.   Assists in maintaining a neat and orderly patient environment.

     5.   Stocks supplies for the Nurse’s Station.

     6.   Participates in required in-services, online education, skill acquisition/competency, and (PI) activities.

     7.   Performs other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse.



  1. Licensing:   Must be licensed by the Washington State Department of Health with a Nursing Assistant Certification.
  2. Experience:   Must have at least 3 years' experience as a CNA in an acute care hospital or skilled nursing facility.
    Preference will be given to CNAs who have experience working in an addiction or psychiatric setting.
  3. Must have current CPR/BLS certification.

Premium pay paid for PD status plus shift differentials for evening, nights and weekends.
