Texoma Medical Center, a 403-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In addition, we have numerous facilities in locations throughout the Texoma region.

POSITION SUMMARY:   The Market Director of Human Resources (MDHR) will have the overall responsibility for the strategic planning, implementation and monitoring of Human Resources for the whole TMC Market including Texoma Medical Center (TMC), TMC Behavioral Health Care Hospital (BHC), Reba McEntire Center for Rehabilitation, TMC Bonham Hospital, Home Health, all Ancillary Outpatient Services, Service Lines, CentRx Retail Pharmacy, local IPM support, Central Billing Office and other facilities and/or services.  The human resource function will have stewardship and responsibility for ensuring and executing the strategy to build a world class organization through recruiting and retaining the best talent, maintaining and building an award-winning culture which aligns with its mission, vision and values including high quality patient care and growth. Develop and update established Human Resource policies, goals, objectives and performance improvement.

Job Requirements

Formal education required with minimum of Bachelor's degree. A Master’s degree strongly preferred in HR, MHA, Business management or a related field. If Master’s not achieved, a balanced combination of education & experience is required.Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive HR experience is required with a minimum of eight (8) years in HR leadership positions in healthcare systems, with acute hospital experience strongly preferred. At least one of the following national certifications:  Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Certified Healthcare Human Resources Professional (CHHR).

Must focus on the safety, development and well being of people, committed to succeed and stand as a model of the organization’s core values. Effective communicator, team builder, advisor and strong leader.  Thorough understanding of The Joint Commission HR requirements.  Strong experience with HR operations & employee relations, HR staff management & development. Able to effectively deliver training presentations. Must be resourceful, creative and driven to create and maintain a positive, effective work environment. Uses excellent critical thinking skills to make solid recommendations and decisions based on timely, relevant information. Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion. Strong understanding of Federal and state laws applicable to wage and salary administration, EEO regulations, workers' compensation and fair pay standards (FLSA). Able to consistently handle stressful situations with professionalism.
